Attorney Phyllis A. Walker
Attorney Phyllis A. Walker has over 20 years of experience as a marital and family lawyer with extensive litigation experience. Her practice now also includes probate and trust administration. She is a member of the Florida Bar, the Charlotte County Bar Association and is certified with the Florida Supreme Court as a family law mediator and circuit civil law mediator. Phyllis also serves on the family law mediator panel with the 20th Judicial District, regularly mediating family law cases in Charlotte County.
Phyllis graduated from The University of California, Los Angeles with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and received her Juris Doctorate from Southwestern Law School in Los Angeles, CA.
Prior to her practice in Punta Gorda, Phyllis’ law career included working with a boutique family law firm in Los Angeles, appointment by the Los Angeles Superior Court to represent children in custody matters and worked as volunteer family law mediator for the Los Angeles Superior Court. Additionally, Phyllis spent three years in Moscow, Russia, where she worked as in-house counsel for Ernst & Young, (CIS) Ltd. Phyllis is admitted to both the Florida and California Bar.
Phyllis currently serves as member of the Board of Directors of the Virginia B. Andes Volunteer Community Clinic, Charlotte County’s only free medical clinic and pharmacy, and formerly served as President of the Board of Directors of the Lifelong Learning Institute, a non-profit organization offering educational and enrichment classes and lectures for adults in Charlotte County, Phyllis is 2014 graduate of Leadership Charlotte.
